This broadsides an excerpt from A Retching, a book-length poetic project by Emji Saint Spero. Taking a scalpel to their medical records, Saint Spero creates a deconstructed autobiography in the third person, written solely with notes dictated by their doctors, social workers, trans clinics, and psychiatrists.
